Dyslexia Lifeline: procedures for getting a service

Please email us and state your requirements and a member of the team will contact you as soon as possible

Children: screening (7-16)

  1. The assessor will email you a questionnaire to complete
  2. Ask your child to complete 10 minutes’ free writing (without help) on the topic/s of their choice
  3. Scan / photocopy the writing (as appropriate)
  4. Email / post the writing and completed questionnaire to the assessor
  5. You will receive a response within three weeks

Children: full diagnostic assessment

  1. A Dyslexia Lifeline assessor will call to arrange assessment meeting and will send you a questionnaire to complete.
  2. Complete questionnaire and return to assessor.
  3. A report will be sent out within three weeks of the assessment.
  4. Report feedback to be arranged at the time of the assessment.
  5. Payment to be made to the assessor at the time of the assessment meeting.

Adult (16+): screening

  1. The assessor will email you a questionnaire to complete
  2. Complete 10 minutes’ free writing (without help) on the topic/s of choice
  3. Scan / photocopy the writing (as appropriate)
  4. Email / post the writing and completed questionnaire to the assessor
  5. You will receive a response within three weeks

Adult (excluding students): full diagnostic assessment

  1. A Dyslexia Lifeline assessor will call to arrange assessment meeting and will send you a questionnaire to complete.
  2. Complete questionnaire and return to assessor.
  3. A report will be sent out within three weeks of the assessment.
  4. Report feedback to be arranged at the time of the assessment.
  5. Payment to be made to the assessor at the time of the assessment meeting.

Schools, colleges, universities and organisations: screening

Schools and colleges: access arrangements

  1. A Dyslexia Lifeline assessor will contact you to arrange the assessments
  2. Complete and return the booking form that they send you
  3. JCQ Form 8 will be sent out within two weeks of the assessment
  4. An invoice will be sent on completion

School, colleges, universities and organisations: dyslexia awareness training

  1. A member of the company will make contact and agree on dates, times, numbers and needs.
  2. A booking form will be sent out, if required.

Workplace consultations (WPC)

  1. A consultant will contact your organisation to set up the meeting and will explain the process and send you some questionnaires to complete
  2. Return questionnaires to consultant
  3. An invoice will be sent on completion of the report
