We are

Lorraine Gibson LeicesterLorraine Gibson

Lorraine has been working with adults with dyslexia for eight years; she also has experience of working with children and has supported students at Dyslexia Action. She has been involved in assessing and teaching at the two main FE providers in Leicester as well as at De Montfort University.

She has a postgraduate certificate in Dyslexia and Literacy and a Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (both validated by the University of York). She is a Member of the British Psychological Register of Competence in Psychological Testing. Her Practising Certificate was issued by Patoss.



Preeti Mackan LeicesterPreeti Mackan

Preeti has been working with dyslexic adults for the past eight years in both Higher and Further Education. She was also the Regional Coordinator for Adult Dyslexia at Dyslexia Action. She has been involved in assessing, teaching and training at the two main FE providers in Leicester as well as at De Montfort University.

She has a postgraduate certificate in Adult Dyslexia Diagnosis and Support (South Bank University). Her practising certificate was issued by Patoss and allows her to assess both children and adults. Preeti is fluent in Gujarati.


Nick Manns LeicesterNick Manns

Nick has worked in schools, colleges and universities. He was the Dyslexia Coordinator at Leicester College and subsequently acted as the Senior Teacher for Dyslexia Action in Leicester. He has been involved in assessing, teaching and training at the two main FE providers in Leicester as well as at De Montfort University.

He has postgraduate certificates in Adult Dyslexia Support (South Bank University) and also in SpLD – Dyslexia (University of Leicester). His practising certificate was issued by Patoss. He is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association.




Jane O'Leary Manns LeicesterJane O’Leary

Jane has a BEd (Hons) degree and worked as a Special Needs teacher in a mainstream primary school for fourteen years. She then took up a teaching position with Dyslexia Action and completed their postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy (validated by the University of York).

Jane has worked with dyslexic learners across the age spectrum and, having a Practising Certificate, has completed DSA assessments for university students. She also works part-time as a specialist teacher in a primary school and is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association and a member of both Patoss and The Dyslexia Guild.



We also have access to other highly trained and experienced dyslexia specialists who work with us.
